Privacy policy
Effective 27 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Voronoi Studios collects through voronoi.studio and by email, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. In short: we only collect what you send us, we use it to reply and to work with you, and we never sell it.
Who we are
Voronoi Studios ("we", "us") is a motion design studio based in Nigeria. We decide how the personal information described here is used, which makes us its data controller under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, for visitors in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR and UK GDPR.
For anything about your information, email hello@voronoi.studio.
What we collect
When you send a brief. The form on our site asks for your name, email address, company, the date you need the work by, what you're making, a rough budget range and a description of your idea. We receive exactly what you type, nothing more. While you're writing, your browser keeps a draft on your own device so an interruption loses nothing; we never see it unless you press send, and it's cleared once the brief has gone. If you pause the site's moving images, your browser remembers that too, on your device only.
When you email us. If you write to hello@voronoi.studio, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach.
When you visit the site. Like every website, the services that deliver our pages and videos automatically process technical information so they can do that safely: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages and files requested. We don't use this to identify you.
What we don't do. Our site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy before it does.
How we use it, and why we're allowed to
- To reply to your brief or email and prepare a quote, because you asked us to: these are steps taken at your request before a possible contract.
- To deliver a project if we work together, because it's needed to perform our contract with you or your company.
- To keep business, tax and accounting records that the law requires us to keep.
- To run a secure, working website and to filter spam from the form, which is in our legitimate interest and yours.
We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell or rent personal information.
Who helps us handle it
We use a few trusted service providers. They process information only on our behalf and under their own data protection terms.
| Provider | What they do for us | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify | Hosts the website, receives brief-form submissions, filters spam and emails us when a brief arrives. | United States and global network |
| Cloudflare | Runs our domain, delivers our videos and images, and forwards email sent to hello@voronoi.studio. | United States and global network |
| Provides Gmail, where email sent to hello@voronoi.studio is delivered. | United States and global network |
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
International transfers
Our providers store and process information outside Nigeria, mainly in the United States. They protect these transfers with recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, as the Nigeria Data Protection Act and the GDPR require.
How long we keep it
- Briefs and emails that don't lead to a project: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Project information: for as long as the project runs, and afterwards only what tax and accounting law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires.
- Technical delivery data: kept by our providers for short periods under their own policies.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that's wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- stop or limit how we use it, or object to a use based on our legitimate interests;
- send your information to you or another organisation in a common digital format.
Email hello@voronoi.studio and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, or, if you're in the European Union or United Kingdom, to your local data protection authority.
Keeping it safe
Our site and email are encrypted in transit (HTTPS), access to briefs and project files is limited to the people working on them, and we protect the accounts that hold them with strong passwords and two-step sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect what you share with us.
Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top.
