Aurum Meridian

Concept film · 3D product film · 0:12

A gold automatic watch lit like a jewel: macro passes across the dial, one slow turn, and a single flare as it faces the camera.

A concept film for an invented brand. The brand is invented; the craft is the real thing.

How it was made

The brief. A 12-second product film for Aurum, a fictional Swiss-style watch house, and its Meridian automatic watch. It had to be the most luxurious film in the reel: slow, confident and expensive.

  1. Macro

The camera glides low over the bezel as the seconds hand sweeps and a soft highlight travels along the gold, so the film opens on lit metal, not black.

  2. Pull back

The camera pulls back and orbits to a three-quarter view, revealing the whole watch slowly while light rakes across the case and the crown catches a highlight.

  3. Hero glint

The watch turns to face the lens and the hands glide to 10:10, then the camera settles so a single star glint on the bezel lands as the one hero moment.

  4. Title card

The watch dims slightly as ‘Aurum’ rises out of a mask beneath it, followed by the spec line and ‘Time, refined.’, and the card holds with only a slow breathing drift.

Instrument Serif and Martian Mono. Polished gold in a pitch-black studio with a faint warm haze and one faint cool rim light for separation; the watch is built procedurally in three.js, with no downloaded models.

Sound

A deep, warm pad that opens to a fuller major chord at the glint, quiet movement ticks twice a second, a low whoosh on the pull-back, a soft boom with a high bell shimmer for the hero hit, and a warm chord under the title.
